Support DISH financially

DISH is a small local charity employing four part time workers supported by volunteers.

It offers:

• Information Service for disabled people and carers
• Family Support for families with children and young people
• Outreach and Home Visiting service offering advocacy throughout the Huntingdonshire area.

Its costs about £53,000 annually to run these three services.

The Trustees organise fund raising events and apply every year to councils and local grant making bodies.

Trustees are currently looking for sponsors to support its Advocacy and Family projects. DISH needs to establish a regular income of £40,000 per year to keep its services going at current levels.

DISH is not permanently endowed.

The future

DISH was able to prove the worth of its services during a period funded by the Big Lottery. This is now over and Trustees need the support of local sponsors to keep the service open. Givers may wish to check DISH records at the Charity Commission .
