Hello
everyone,
Our names
are Christian, Simon and Susannah and we are all members of the High Support
Needs Committee which is part of the Cambridgeshire Parliament. Here we have
our voices heard and strive to make changes for people with High Support Needs
and Learning Difficulties.
We are writing
to you today to tell you about The Changing
Places demo that we are planning on Tuesday 23rd
June 2009. Time: 11.00am – 2pm
Venue:
Outside the Cambridge Guildhall, Market Square,
Cambridge CB2 3QJ

Our demo will be to raise awareness of the need for Changing Places. We want
Changing Places toilets to be installed in all big public places, including
shopping centers, arts venues, stations and airports. Thousands of people with
profound and multiple learning disabilities and complex needs cannot use
standard accessible toilets because they do not meet the needs of the
individuals or their carers.

We need facilities like the picture above to be able to go out and enjoy
the same activities as anyone else.
Therefore, during Learning
Disability week, we would value your support by coming to Cambridge and helping
us to campaign for Changing Places toilets to be installed in local areas.
